Common Printer

Printus mondayensis

Habitat
Beside reception, always within reach of a deadline.
Behaviour
Announces “offline” whenever its driver updates itself.
What we do
Fix it remotely — usually inside 15 minutes — and reorder toner before it runs dry.

Last sighting Tuesday, 8:02am, Harbor Dental front desk: “printer offline.” Printing again at 8:13.

Illustration: a round white Wi-Fi access point on a ceiling tile with orange signal arcs, and a crossed-out coffee mug marking the dead zone.

Ceiling Wi-Fi

Accessus pointus

Habitat
Wherever the last contractor happened to have a ladder.
Behaviour
Strong at the front desk, faint in the room you actually meet in.
What we do
Walk every room with a signal meter and add an access point where the map goes pale.

Field tip If your team takes Zoom calls in the hallway, the hallway is where the signal is.

Night species& herd species.

The two you never think about until the morning they disappear.

Illustration: a green two-bay backup drive with a paper moon and two stars above it.

Plate IV

Backup Drive Custos nocturnus

Nocturnal. Copies everything at 2am to the closet and to a second copy in Salt Lake City — so a flood, a theft or a bad click is a Tuesday, not a catastrophe.

  • Nightly, two places
  • Priya restores a real file every month, on purpose
  • 30 days of versions
Illustration: seven laptops in green, cream and orange walking in a line along a dotted trail, like a migrating herd.

Plate V

Laptop Fleet Laptopus gregarius

Travels in herds of 5 to 40 and migrates home every evening. We set each one up, patch it on Tuesday nights and can lock it remotely if it wanders off at the airport.

  • New laptop ready in a day
  • Patched Tuesdays, 10pm
  • Lost one? Locked in minutes

The only numberin this guide.

Frequentlyasked, honestlyanswered.

What counts as urgent?

Anything that stops work for more than one person: internet down, the front-desk printer, email not sending, a laptop that won't start ten minutes before a client meeting.

Do we sign a contract?

No. Month to month with 30 days' notice. We'd rather keep you by being useful than by paperwork.

We already have an “IT person.”

Keep them. We can take the dull half — patching, backups, passwords — and cover when they're on vacation.

Do you come on site?

Yes, anywhere in the Treasure Valley: Boise, Meridian, Eagle, Garden City, Nampa. Visits are included in the $95.

How does the Q1 offer work?

Sign between January 1 and March 31 and onboarding is free: we inventory every device, move your admin accounts and set up backups at no charge.

Bring us yourstrangest cable.

Tell us about your office and we'll reply within one working day with a time for the check-up — or a straight answer if you just have a question.
